Biography

Dan Woodward is a published composer who has contributed to a number of domestic and international production music libraries that includes Wrong Planet Music and EMI. His music has been featured on a range of radio and television programming that boasts broadcasters such as BBC, BT Sports, Channel 4 and ITV. Due to his musical works, Dan is also a member of the UK’s leading collection societies PRS and PPL. You can hear some of Dan’s work at www.wrongplanetmusic.com .

Prior to working within the production music sector of the industry, Dan played in several bands before he moved into performing as a singer/songwriter. Dan independently produced and released 5 albums/EPs of his own material, whilst being featured on Tom Robinson’s BBC Introducing show on Radio 6 Music. During this time, he supported artists signed to Alan McGee’s 369 Music and Virgin Records. Dan also has 15 years of experience of performing in a pop/rock function band, something he continues to do so today.

Dan has over 10 years of teaching experience delivering a wide range of performance and technology subjects across the FE and HE sectors. He has 25 years of guitar playing experience, whilst being competent in performing across a range of other musical instruments.

Dan is an alumnus of the University of Derby where he completed an undergraduate BSc (Hons) degree in Multimedia Technology and Music Production and postgraduate teaching diploma (GDTLLS/QTLS).
