Biography

Kat was a student 1999-2002 studying health and social care here at West Nottinghamshire College, alongside working part time as a care assistant in a local care home.

She was employed by the college in 2002 to support level two health and social care students. Whilst employed by the college Kat studied community, care and welfare at Open University.

Kat progressed into teaching health and social care in 2005 and qualified as a teacher in 2007.

Kat has experience working with second school students, aged 14-16. These students attended college one day a week over a two year period. As well as this Kat delivered to the young apprentices.

Kat also volunteered in an evening where she attended a youth centre in Calverton and completed courses around youth work. She wanted to gain an awareness of challenges that young people face daily.

Kat mainly delivers on level two health and social care courses.
