Biography

Sarah started her career as a graduate trainee for Debenhams following her graduation from University of Northampton where she gained a BA (Hons) degree in Business and Italian. After spending several years in retail and recruitment, she had a career break whilst her children were still young.

Whilst considering career options, Sarah was approached by a training provider, was given the opportunity to deliver Functional Skills maths and English and realised how much she enjoyed teaching both young people and adults. Sarah then went on to become a fully qualified assessor in Youth Work and Business Administration alongside teaching Functional Skills.

In 2019, Sarah commenced employment with Barnsley College as a GCSE Maths teacher based at Mansfield Education Hub with Barnsley College. In the Summer of 2023 Mansfield Education Hub transferred to West Nottinghamshire College. She is very excited to be a part of West Nottinghamshire College – a college that supports her local community.

Sarah enjoys reading, live music, spending time with her husband and children and walking her Cocker Spaniel, Stanley.
