Biography

Fran has worked as an animal management teacher in FE for six years - a job which helps her join her two favourite past times: talking and animals.

She has a wealth of experience in different animal environments including working in laboratories for six years, two of which were spent within the transgenic unit. She spent a year spent working for a local veterinary practice within their dispensary. Fran worked for a leading equine rehabilitator using an array of different techniques to help top class eventers, showjumpers and dressage horses return to competition.

She spent several years as a riding school instructor specialising in RDA classes.

Not only does Fran have the vocational experiences but also the academic having studied animal science at Nottingham Trent university before going on to complete her PGCE.

Alongside her career, and academic studies, she has groomed at numerous top-class equine events and festivals and successfully trained as an equine sports massage therapist.

One of Fran’s key achievements has been helping set up and teach on the Level 3 technical qualification.

In her spare time Fran is usually found in the field with her horses and dogs or cleaning out one of her many animal enclosures.
