Information for existing full-time students

If you are a returning learner that has been enrolled onto a two-year course (A Levels, part-time Access, T Level, and some vocational courses), you will not be required to come into the college to re-enrol. Your curriculum will write out to you outlining your start date and any equipment you will require for the next academic year. All you need to do is turn up on your first day and you will be issued with your lanyard.

If you are a returning learner, staying in the college next year within the same curriculum, you will receive two letters. One from your curriculum outlining your start date and one from our Admissions Team inviting you into the college either Monday 19th, Tuesday 20th or Wednesday 21st August to sign your learning agreement and to collect your lanyard as you will have been automatically enrolled. Please make every effort to attend the session allocated to you as you must sign your learning agreement.

Please note, the course you have been enrolled onto is based on successfully passing this year’s course (23/24) and having the necessary GCSE maths and English grades required for the course. If you are not successful in meeting these requirements there is a chance that we may need to look at an alternative programme of study for you. Please do not worry, the college will do everything within its power to support you and is committed to working with you, to identify a course to suit your needs.

If you are a returning learner and have decided to move to a different curriculum area or have not been invited to a session on the 19th, 20th or 21st of August, you will receive a letter inviting you into main enrolment, this takes place from 22nd August until Friday 30th August, if you cannot make your allocated slot please contact our Customer Enquiries Team on 0808 100 3626 or via email at enquiries@wnc.ac.uk who will be able to look at an alternative slot for you. Please ensure you are prepared for enrolment by updating your MyVision account. Please update your photo and check that your personal details are all correct, if available please also upload your examination results. If you have trouble uploading these please just bring them along with you on the day. You will be issued with your timetable and lanyard at this event.

Please note: If you held a West Notts College Travel Pass this year and are planning to use a pass next academic year (24/25), please do not dispose of your current card as you will require it for September. We are in the process of finalising all details and will be sending information of how to renew your pass very soon.

If you previously accessed financial support or are planning to apply this year, the bursary portal is now live. You can access this by visiting the student portal. You will require your student number (For example - ABC23001234) and it can be found on your ID badge and formal letters from the college. Please ensure you have this to hand when applying.
