Enrolment 2018

ALL new and returning students will need to officially enrol as a student for September 2018.

If you already know what to do, great! We look forward to seeing you in September.

But, if you need further advice, select one of the options below for details on our enrolment process and how we can help you.

I got the results I need - how do I enrol?

When can I enrol?

All applicants would have been sent a letter confirming their enrolment day. But if you're unsure of the date/time of your enrolment day, don't panic, a full list of our enrolment dates can be viewed online.

What should I bring with me?

  • Your exam result slips or qualification certificates including English and maths
  • Your National Insurance Number
  • Your copy of student finance entitlement (if you're over 19)
  • Payment for the college bus service

What happens on enrolment day?

  • 1Arrive at reception
  • 2Visit English and maths tutors located on the first floor
    You’ll meet the English and maths team who will check your English and maths grades, and will assess if you need to study English/maths while at the college, and at which level.
  • 3Visit the curriculum team located on the first floor
    Our course specialists will provide you with advice and guidance, confirm any qualifications you already have, will check for fee exemption, and confirm your college start date.
  • 4Visit learner records located in the Vision room
    Here we will capture some of the important learner details, and sign your learner agreement.
  • 5Visit support services located on the ground floor in the covered courtyard
    At student support services you will have your photograph taken for your ID badge, receive your badge and find information you need on everything from finance to travel.
  • 6All finished!
    Before leaving a staff member will confirm that you have everything you need for your first day at college including your learner agreement, ID badge and lanyard and your college start date.

I didn't get the results I need - what do I do next?

If your results are lower than expected, don't worry, we still have a place for you, and there are lots of things you can do to start your college journey. Please still come along to your enrolment day and discuss your options with our advisors.

I'm unsure what to do next

If you know what career you are interested in, search for a suitable course. We have over 100 courses to choose from starting from entry-level up to degree level. Whatever grades you achieve, we’re sure we’ll have a suitable course for you.

On-line chat is also available (during office hours) should you need any help whilst applying on the website.

Once you have applied, you will receive a letter inviting you along to one of our late applicant events. This is an opportunity for you to see the college and talk to our tutors in more detail about the course. If you are successful in being offered a place you will then be enrolled at the same event.

I'm a returning student

If you’re a returning student you will still need to enrol (if you haven’t already done so before the last term ended). If you have not enrolled yet, you will receive a letter confirming your enrolment date and time. If you’re still unsure, please give us a call.

How to enrol

It's important that you attend your enrolment date. However, if this is not possible, please let us know in advance so we can reschedule your enrolment slot.

What if I don’t get the results I need to progress to the next year of my course?
Still come to your enrolment session and we will be able to let you know your study options and help you plan your next step.

What if I’ve changed my mind about what I want to study?
If you would like to transfer to a different course, still come to your enrolment session and we can discuss your change of course and help you to transfer.
