Overview

This adult-only (19+) one day course is ideal for individuals who need essential first aid skills, particularly those nominated as workplace first aiders in low-risk environments such as offices, shops and call centres.

Delivered in just one day, this Level 3 Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) course meets Health and Safety Executive (HSE) requirements, giving you confidence that your training is fully compliant and up to date.

Do not worry if you have been out of education for some time. Our tutors have many years of experience supporting adult learners back into the classroom and will guide you every step of the way. You will study in small, supportive classes alongside other like-minded adults, creating a relaxed and encouraging learning environment while gaining practical, lifesaving skills.

What will I study?

Our experienced instructors will guide you through handling various emergency situations for adult casualties, including:

Assessing an incident
Choking
CPR and defibrillation
Managing an unresponsive casualty
Minor injuries including, cuts, grazes, bruises, minor burns and scalds
Recovery position
Seizures
Shock
The roles and responsibilities of an emergency first aider
Wounds and bleeding.
