Understanding Children and Young People's Mental Health (Online) - Level 2
Overview
This qualification develops learners' knowledge and skills in the area of children and young people's mental health.
The successful learner will understand the factors affecting mental health and a range of common conditions experienced by children and young people.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
While this course may be offered to you free of charge, failure to complete the course may result in a £125 administration fee. This fee covers the administrative costs associated with non-completion.

What will I study?
- Best practice relating to children and young people's mental health
- Living with children with mental health conditions
- Signs, symptoms and diagnosis of mental health concerns
- Sources of information, support, legislation and guidance relevant to mental health concerns.
- Entry requirements
- No specific entry requirements, a minimum of Level 1 in literacy and numeracy or equivalent.
- Applicants must live in England and not live in the locations listed here
- Applicants must have been living in the UK for the last 3 years
- Assessment
The qualification is assessed by internally set and marked assessments subject to external quality assurance.
All learning outcomes and assessment criteria must be met to achieve a Pass – there is no grading.

- Certificate in Understanding Mental Health Care - Level 3
- Aware in the Awareness of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 - Level 3
- Diploma for the Children and Young Peoples Workforce - Level 3
