Practical Work Skills - Entry Level 3 to Level 1
Overview
As well as studying a range of skills related to customer service, rights and responsibilities in the work place and team building activities, this course will also enable you to build your self-confidence and improve your personal and social development.
You will study at the Derby Road site and will access live working areas e.g. Courtyard Café and Diner.

Entry Level 3:

Entry requirements
- There are no formal entry requirements
- You will be expected to complete an initial assessment, attend an interview and provide a written reference.
Study programmes - essential skills for employment
As an entry requirement on some of our courses, you will need a GCSE in both English and maths with at least a grade 4/C (please see entry requirements above).
If this isn’t displayed under the entry requirements and you don’t currently have a GCSE in both English and maths at grade 4/C or above before joining us, you will then study English and maths as part of your programme with the aim of achieving a qualification with at least a grade 4/C. This is to help improve your chances of employment once you leave us.
In addition, to help you gain essential skills for employment, all students aged 19 and under and studying a full-time course with us will take part in our study programmes.

One year.
How will I be assessed?
You'll be assessed through your portfolio work and practical assessments.
What does the course lead to?
Upon completion you could choose to undertake work experience in a voluntary capacity, apply for a work placement or utilise your new skills by gaining employment/supported employment.
