Introduction to Literature and Creative Writing

Overview

Join this short 6 week course and develop your interest in literature and creative writing.? On the course, you will analyse and discuss a range of well-known classic texts. Each week this newfound knowledge will be applied in a series of creative writing exercises to get you well on your way to starting your own masterpiece!

  • If you are 19+ and unemployed and receiving relevant benefits the course is free.
  • If you are 19+ not receiving benefits the course will cost £48.00 for the full six weeks.

What will I study?

On this course, you will study topics such as:

  • Introduction to short stories?
  • A dark gothic masterpiece
  • The time has come for nonsense!
  • Dead as a doornail he was (Character creation).
  • Wintry Yorkshire Moors (An exploration of setting).
  • A ripped shower curtain (Creating suspense).
