HND Construction and the Built Environment (Construction - Management) - Level 5

The construction industry has never been so varied and dynamic. This is the right course for those who want to take their career within construction to a more higher technical level, and for those wishing to pursue a career within architectural technology, surveying, construction management or building control, to name a few. It offers you the opportunity to develop your existing knowledge of the industry, to help meet the demands of employers in the construction and the built environment sector and adapt to a constantly changing world.

At West Notts College, we engage in trips and visits to broaden your knowledge and understanding as well as supporting you in securing a meaningful work placement. A member of the delivery team was also part of the national HNC/HND programme planning and has written some of the units which are now delivered internationally.

Entry requirements

In order to start this course, you will need to have successfully completed a minimum of one of the following:

  • HNC Construction and the Built Environment - Level 4 RQF (if you have studied this under the old framework of QCF then we can consider some units as ‘Recognition of Prior Learning’ however this will need to be discussed)

We normally also require GCSE English and maths at grade C/grade 4 or above: English and maths at Level 2 are essential requirements.
