Rebels create a scene

Posted: 19 January 2015

Standing up for what you believe in is the theme for the first show of the year at West Nottinghamshire College’s Create Theatre next month.

Playful Acts of Rebellion
Playful Acts of Rebellion

Playful Acts of Rebellion by The Gramophones Theatre Company comes to the stage on Saturday 7 February.

The production follows the story of four women who decide to take action, standing up for their beliefs and almost risking everything.

The show will provoke the audience to question what makes something worth fighting for and the effect one person can have.

The play charts their journeys from unusual concepts to moments of desperation, despair and human triumph. Playful Acts of Rebellion uses exciting visual storytelling to tell four uplifting stories about how protest – although difficult – can also be joyous.

Tickets for the 7.30pm show cost £8 or £5 for students and unwaged and can be purchased by calling 01623 413363 or by visiting www.createtheatre.co.uk
