Accompanied by his assistant Elfie, Santa took sacks of gifts to children at The Butterflies Day Nursery at the college’s Derby Road campus to say thank you for being good boys and girls.

Over thirty children aged from one month to four years, joined staff at the nursery to welcome the man in red and have their photographs taken with him and Elfie.

Nursery manager Kelly Pickbourne said: “It was a really fun afternoon and all the boys and girls made Santa and Elfie feel very welcome. We all helped to trim the nursery up to make it look its festive best for our special guests.”
