As head of HE and international, I have a cross-college role which involves leading on the growth and improvement of both HE and also international provision, so I work closely with the heads of school and other support areas, as well as leading the HE team. I am hugely proud of the work we have done to improve the HE student experience at college. We look forward to enhancing our relationships with our educational partners to provide the right courses for our students, and we continue to focus on building a positive experience, based on student feedback.

I am so fortunate that despite all the meetings, emails and reports, I still have daily contact with students who come in to the Vision University Centre, because it is our students who make this role so worthwhile.

I'm the HE and international manager and my main responsibilities are involved with managing all aspects of the HE student experience. This includes ensuring you are provided with accurate, useful and timely information well before you start your course and as you progress through your studies with us.

I liaise regularly with a wide range of support teams across the college, such as finance, admissions, student services and the learning resource centres to ensure that you have everything you need to succeed on your course. I also work with curriculum teams to identify additional support, activities and opportunities relating to your course and academic development to allow you to maximise your potential and experience at Vision West Nottinghamshire College.

I’m the HE and international co-ordinator. It’s my job to try to make sure our HE team activities run smoothly, so the job is very varied! Behind the scenes, I organise essential administration, support validations and approvals, and external quality audits, and collect, track and monitor the quality of information associated with our HE courses. I can help with your queries about applications, enrolment, assessment hand-in etc., but can also help signpost where you can go to get answers to other queries you may have. I am also responsible for the organisation and administration of the assessment boards where your grades will be formally ratified.

I also administer the HE Discretionary Fund, so if you find yourself in financial difficulty during your studies, contact me straightaway. We might be able to help.

I’m the Higher Education and international advisor and can be found in room 920 in the Vision University Centre at Derby Road. My role within the team is to offer support and guidance to both staff and students and to assist with any international enquiries.

My role also requires me to raise awareness of Vision West Nottinghamshire College to students through school visits, open days and various workshops offering guidance on how to progress within education to fulfil ambitions through study.

Here at Vision West Nottinghamshire College we are always keen to ensure that our students receive the best possible experience. I also organise key HE events such as the student conference and the Hello to HE event, as well as the employability programme.

I’m the curriculum and communications officer for Higher Education and international. In my curriculum role, I ensure that the HE programmes are ready for internal and external review, audit, inspection and approval. In my communications role, I make sure that the information you receive, prior to and after your enrolment, contains everything you need. This includes publications, our website and social media.

I also lead the efforts within the HE team in regards to Student Voice. I work with the student advocates and course reps to make sure your voice is heard, through focus groups, informal/social events, in-class communications and surveys.

Your feedback is very important to us, and it is equally important to me to make sure you are informed, so I’m the one to contact if you have any feedback or suggestions.
