At Vision West Nottinghamshire College we have a dedicated team of people who support our HE students.
The HE team will ensure that you have the facilities and resources to study efficiently
and effectively and the support and guidance to help you with a range of issues
and queries. If you need any help or advice throughout your time here at college,
please feel free to get in touch with one of the team listed below.
Hi, I'm Eleanor Taylor
As Head of HE and International, I have a cross-college role which involves leading on the growth
and improvement of both HE and also international provision, so I work closely with the Heads
of School and other support areas, as well as leading the HE team. I am hugely proud of the ringing
endorsement we got from the Quality Assurance Agency during 2010-11, as well as the work we have done
to improve the HE student experience at college. But 2012-13 will still be a busy year for the team,
as we will be working to rollout the same good practice to our international students, as well as making
sure that all 2012 applicants understand the new funding arrangements. We will also be really focussing
on making the best use possible of student feedback.
I am so fortunate that despite all the meetings, emails and reports, I still have daily contact
with students who come in to the HE Zone, because it is our students who make this role so worthwhile.
Hi, I'm Dani MacKinnon
I'm the HE & International Manager and my main responsibilities are involved with managing
all aspects of the HE student experience. This includes ensuring you are provided with accurate,
useful and timely information well before you start your course and as you progress through your
studies with us.
I liaise regularly with a wide range of support teams across the college, such as finance, admissions,
student services and the learning resource centres to ensure that you have everything you need to succeed
on your course. I also work with curriculum teams to identify additional support, activities and
opportunities relating to your course and academic development to allow you to maximise your potential
and experience at Vision West Nottinghamshire College. Please do get in touch with me by calling 01623 627191 ext 8697,
if you have any suggestions on how we might improve the service we provide to our HE and our international students.

associated with our HE courses. I can help with your queries about applications, enrolment, assessment hand-in etc, but
can also help signpost where you can go to get answers to other queries you may have. I am also responsible for the
organisation and administration of the assessment boards where your grades will be formally ratified. You can find me
in room 105B at Derby Road, or alternatively you can give me a call on
01623 627191 ext 8699.
