Study programmes

At college – you’ll gain more than a qualification. From enterprise programmes to personal and professional development, you’ll work towards the skills to achieve your ambitions.

Essential skills for employment

Studying on a programme with us means far more than just gaining a qualification. There are lots more ways that you will pick up the skills essential for employment or progression to a higher-level course.

If you haven’t gained GCSEs in English and maths at grade A*-C or a grade 9–4 before joining us you will continue to study English and maths as part of your programme and take appropriate qualifications in these subjects.

Employers tell us that these subjects are essential for today’s workplace and we will work with you to make sure that you develop these essential skills.

We will also work with you on your own study skills, support you with your professional development and provide you with opportunities to get involved in a range of activities that mean you will leave us ready for your next steps.

Opportunities range from work placement, volunteering enterprise, and sport all aimed at giving you those essential personal and employability skills you’ll need when you go into work or further study.

Additional enrichment opportunities include:

  • Enterprise projects
  • Learner Voice
  • Sports
  • Work placements
