You will have access to a team of professional advisers who specialise in impartial careers advice. The team will provide ongoing support throughout your time at college from your initial application right through your progression. There are also three Connexions personal advisers based here who can offer help with your choices and direction if you are aged between 13-19.
We have a wide range of electronic resources that can help you plan your career and find the job you want, including a computer based software package which can assess your suitability to different careers, and an extensive job description database.
There are two careers resource areas located at our two main campuses, containing books, publications and materials on all careers topics, including university prospectuses, job search advice and career profiles. The resource areas can be found at Student Services (First Floor, Derby Road) and the Careers Library (C15, Chesterfield Road).
We are here to help you, so if you need assistance with any of the following then don’t hesitate to get in touch with the team:
- Career choices
- College and university options and applications
- One-to-one support
- Advice sessions on various topics
- Job searching
