The Innovation in Sustainable Construction event at West Notts College
On 10 February 2010, the college will host one of a series of regional
events that aims to provide information and advice on the latest sustainable
products and processes in the construction industry.
The event is aimed at designers, contractors, specialist contractors,
students and any members of the public interested in innovative and sustainable
construction. There will be opportunities to talk with a specialist advisor and
see a range of innovative technologies demonstrated that can help individuals,
businesses and those in the construction trade reduce their carbon footprint and
learn about the very latest developments in eco-friendly construction practices.
Representatives from six different colleges will be attending, offering expert
advice on areas such as modern methods of construction, renewable energy
(solar, water, biomass, photovoltaics, wind energy), thermal mass in buildings,
weather compensating controls, dual fuel systems, water recycling and rainwater harvesting.
The Innovation in Sustainable Construction event is a great opportunity for
anyone with an interest in sustainable construction practices to expand their
knowledge of the latest developments of energy efficient technology in construction.
