Art and Design Level 1 BTEC Diploma (QCF)

Overview

This course is designed for those with a proven interest in art, design and media and a desire to explore their creative potential.

Description

You will have the opportunity to focus on painting and drawing, ceramics, printmaking, textiles and 3D design.  It also provides a pathway to higher level courses in these subjects.

Functional Skills and personal and social development also form a part of the course.

How long is the course?

One year - 36 weeks (full-time)

- Coursework

What can I go on to study?

Once you have successfully completed the course, one option is the Level 2 BTEC Diploma in Art and Design.

Alternatively, employment in your chosen career with further training is another option.

 

Entry requirements

Applicants will need to have followed a GCSE level programme and have a portfolio of art work what shows a range of creative activity.

You will also be required to attend an initial assessment and a course interview with your portfolio.
