Skills for Working Life - Wood Occupations

Overview

You will study - Health and safety, load and unload resources, working as a team, set up and use portable power tools, maintain and use woodworking hand tools, form basic woodwork joints.

There will be a mixture of theory and practical sessions that cover all units.

How will I be assessed?

By completing student centred learning packages, practical tasks and job knowledge assignments.

What can I go on to study?

You may progress on to the Carpentry & Joinery Construction Diploma Level 1/2.

Entry requirements

No formal entry requirements but an interest in the construction industry would be helpful.
