A course designed for young people with challenging behaviour who may need help and guidance in making career choices.

Description

This course is specifically aimed at young people with behavioural difficulties. It will seek to build your self-confidence while improving your personal and social development.

As a student on this course you'll have the opportunity to take part in visits and residentials.

How long is the course?

One year.

How will I be assessed?

You'll be assessed through your portfolio work and Basic Skills assessments.

What will I study?

You'll study vocational units, work preparation skills, personal presentation skills, job seeking skills and interview techniques.

In addition, you'll also study functional skills in maths, English and ICT.

What does the course lead to?

Upon successful completion of the course you could utilise your new skills and knowledge by gaining employment.

What can I go on to study?

Progression to a wide range of level 1 courses at Vision West Notts is possible upon completion.
