A qualification intended for those who are interested in learning more about marketing or work in a role supporting others in basic marketing tasks.

Description

The Introductory Certificate is a CIM (Chartered Institute of Marketing) qualification. It answers the question - 'What is marketing?' and aims to develop your skills and knowledge to a level where you can support others in marketing-related work.

How long is the course?

16 weeks.

How will I be assessed?

You'll be required to undertake a one hour online test for the first module and submit a written project made of work-based tasks for the second.

What will I study?

You'll study a wide range of topics covering many areas of marketing. By the end of the course you should be able to:

- Understand the function of marketing and its role in
an organisation

- Exhibit knowledge of the 'four Ps' (Product, Place, Price,
Promotion) and how to apply the marketing mix

- Understand more about customers and managing
customer relationships

- Be able to communicate with both internal and external
customers using a variety of different means.

What can I go on to study?

Upon completion you could progress to the CIM Professional Certificate in Marketing.
