CIPD Certificate in HR Practice

Overview

The CIPD have introduced a new qualification structure in which the Certificate in Personnel Practice has been replaced by the Certificate in Human Resource Practice.

Description

The new Certificate in HR Practice is a Level 3 qualification which provides a firm foundation in all areas of HR, as well as an understanding of HR in a business context. It will help learners to develop practical, relevant skills and become more effective in the workplace.

How long is the course?

This course should be completed within nine months. This will be over 40 weeks plus occasional extra sessions.

How will I be assessed?

The course will be assessed by a mixture of skills based assignments and written assignments. Learners will need to keep a learning log and personal development plan.

What will I study?

This course covers:

CORE UNITS
Developing yourself as an effective HR or learning and development practitioner
Understanding organisations and the role of HR
Recording, analysing and using HR information

OPTIONAL UNITS
Resourcing talent
Managing employment relations
Performance and reward management
Change within organisations

What does the course lead to?

Level 5 Certificate in Human Resource Management.

Entry requirements

Interview with course leader.
