An Introduction to Team Leading

Overview

A course for aspiring and acting team leaders who are looking to develop in their current roles at work.  This course is delivered in the workplace.

Description

The Introduction to Team Leading course is designed for team leaders, or those who aspire to be team leaders, who wish to progress to ILM professional development but do not currently possess the required Level 2 qualifications in English.

This course is easily contextualised to meet the needs of employers and focuses on personal development at work.

How long is the course?

Around 30 guided learning hours.

How will I be assessed?

The course has ongoing assessment throughout, culminating in a final literacy exam.

What will I study?

Example units include:

- Evaluating the business

- Effective influencing

- Effective information management

- Reading and writing skills

- Managing the business

What does the course lead to?

If you're an employer investing in training, the business benefits for your organisation could include:

- Improved confidence in verbal discussion and presentations

- Improved relationships at work and with customers through developed interpersonal skills

- Improved quality of written reports and reviews

What can I go on to study?

Upon completion you could progress to:

- NVQ Level 2 ILM in Team Leading

- Level 2 Award in Team Leading
