A course aimed at those who want to further develop their cookery skills and pursue a career as a professional chef.

Description

This is a full-time course aimed at providing you with the skills to work as a professional cook/chef in a range of settings such as events, catering or restaurants.

You will study a range of practical and theoretical units which will develop your skills and knowledge in preparation for employment. in establishments which offer fine dining and complex menus.

One year.

Practical tests

What will I study?

A university level qualification in a related area.

What does the course lead to?

Employment within a professional cookery environment.

Entry requirements

You will need sufficient industry experience (determined by the course tutor) or the VRQ Level 2 in Professional Cookery.

Progressing students will need to have passed the Level 2 Professional Cookery Diploma with most units at a minimum of Merit level.
