This course is designed for employed accountants who want to improve their skills and knowledge and increase their chances of promotion to a more responsible post.

Description

AAT accountancy courses are designed to teach you practical skills that can you can transfer directly to your workplace or aid your career progression.

An AAT qualification offers you a professional status that reflects the skills you’ve worked so hard to gain.

So, when employers see the letters MAAT after your name, they’ll know they’re dealing with a credible, up-to-date professional.

As a member of the AAT, you’ll have the support of the largest professional body for accounting technicians worldwide.

The Level 4 course will enable those with appropriate work experience to become full members of the Association of Accounting Technicians and gain exemptions from the Professional Accounting qualifications.

You will learn how to draft financial statements for limited companies, perform complex management accounting tasks and develop your own management skills.

How long is the course?

The course length is flexible but a minimum of one year is required.

How will I be assessed?

Assessment is by external examination apart from the managing systems and people unit which is assessed by a work-based project.

What will I study?

You will study the following modules:

Unit 8 – Contributing to the management of performance
Unit 9 – Contributing to the planning and control of resources
Unit 10 – Managing systems and people in the accounting environment
Unit 11 – Drafting financial statements (accounting practice route)
Unit 18 – Preparing business tax computations
Unit 19 – Preparing personal tax computations

What does the course lead to?

The Level 4 qualification is an indication of high skill level, opening doors to managerial positions in the sector.

What can I go on to study?

Full membership of the AAT and entry for ACCA, ICAEW or CIMA qualifications.

Entry requirements

You should hold an NVQ Level 3 qualification in Accounts or a Degree in Accounting.

Discount Fee: £40.00

*Total fee is cost of one year of a two-year programme of study.
