ACS Commercial Package 1

Overview

This commercial gas course have been devised for those operatives who are already working within the gas industry but want to extend their scope of work. This will provide them with the skills and knowledge to undertake ACS assessment.

Description

This package takes in

CoDNC01 changeover from Domestic Natural Gas to Commercial Natural Gas

CDGA1 - Direct Fired appliances
CIGA1 - Indirect Fired appliances
CORT1 - Overhead Radiant heaters
TPCP1 - Test and Purge
ICPN1 - First Fix Pipework

How long is the course?

4 days training and 3 days assessment.

How will I be assessed?

Through theoretical and practical applicants.

Success rates

All operatives who have completed their 4 days training have successfully gone on to complete their assessments and proved competency.

What will I study?

Safety legislation and standards
Pressure and flow
Combustion and gas safety controls
Flues and ventilation
Industrial pipework
Soundness testing and purging to IGE/UP/1A
Industrial and commercial gas fired appliances
Flue analysis
Burner controls and control systems

What does the course lead to?

Registration with Gas Safe Register

What can I go on to study?

You could try Electrical Part P Defined Scope or try your hand at one of our the renewable energy courses Solar and Underfloor Heating.
