This role provides an outstanding opportunity to lead a highly performing curriculum and commercial team in a School that is already performing strongly against government priorities. The School is committed to giving students a realistic commercial experience through working within the commercial restaurant (Refined), or the commercial hair and beauty salons and spa (Revive). The School has excellent employer links, supporting a wide range of work placement opportunities and strong progression and destination to employment.

The role requires someone who is an excellent ambassador for the School and college to support with the promotion of the curriculum and commercial offer. The School has a varied curriculum offer available from entry three to level five.

Annually, the hospitality and catering area hosts the Young Chef Food and Drink competition judged by Sat Bains, linking with some of the best food and drink establishments within the industry. The Refined restaurant is identified through Trip Advisor to be one of the best restaurants within the area. 

The Revive hair, beauty and spa supports excellent learner development within the industry by operating from outstanding facilities through a franchise partnership with the Francesco hairdressing group.

The holder of this role will further inspire a dedicated and skilful team to provide excellent teaching and learning and an even more fabulous experience for our learners. Learners’ success will be your driver. You will be engaged in our strategic objective to be outstanding, and will recognise and develop excellence in all areas of provision.

Reporting directly to the Deputy Principal: Teaching and Learning. You will be accountable for the success of the School. This success will be measured through high success rates, learner satisfaction surveys, and high levels of progression to further study, higher education or employment.

The role will require you to embed the college’s values; working with Professionalism, taking Responsibility for your actions and giving Respect to students, colleagues and visitors.
