Childcare
Butterflies, our Day Nursery, situated at the Derby Road site, offers excellent childcare for children aged between 6 weeks and 5 years.
It is a 47 place Nursery Unit registered with Children's & Young People's Services. We provide a safe and stimulating environment for children accommodated in four rooms dependant on age and availability.
The baby room provides care for babies aged 6 weeks to 2 years. This room provides a home from home environment. We then have toddler and pre-school rooms with a more enriched environment. The activities are planned weekly to cover all 6 areas of learning within the curriculum framework. We hope to prepare the children for the transition from nursery to school.
The toddler room offers care for children aged 2-3 years of age whilst the pre-school room accommodates children from 3-5 years.
In 2012, Butterflies nursery was inspected by Ofsted and awarded ‘outstanding’ – the highest grade possible and a reflection of the hard work of the staff and the level of care they provide for the children.
